While community officials lobby to secure sections of Pilsen on the historical district register, new development and rehabilitation are transforming the neighborhood into a contemporary place to live.
More than half the dwellings in Pilsen are multi-family, with many valued between $150,000 to $300,000 and a few gems priced well over a $1 million. The thriving artist community is helping Pilsen is undergo a shift in terms of neighborhood real estate. Many homes have been restored to their original historic character.
